講義の概要	To introduce and develop students skills for public speaking in English. The course will focus on physical and oral necessities required in public speaking as well as the visual and organizational aspects of a good presentation. (Key Words for Course: Technical English, Science and Technology, English Conversation, English Writing, Reading in English)
到達目標	To improve each students oral and written abilities. Upon successful completion, each student should be able to make effective presentations and write well organized short essays.

教科書・参考書	Students are required to bring a Japanese-English dictionary in addition to an A4 folder for handouts, homework, and class materials. Students should also have paper (blank or ruled) for taking down study notes. Textbook: Speaking of Speech by David Harrington, Charles LeBeau
評価方法及び合格基準	60% of mark for 2 long presentations, 40% for 4 shorter presentations. Passing grade for the course is 60%. Students who miss a presentation will be given a mark of zero.
学生への メッセージ	This class primarily focused on presentations and discussion. Success therefore depends on regular attendance and participation in class discussions. All lectures are given in English.
